Scheduling a ride with Rides2U is effortless with our user-friendly app — just download it from the App Store or log in online, create an account, and quickly schedule your rides with a few taps, whether it's for airport transfers or daily commuting. To ensure a stress-free travel experience, it's highly recommended to book your ride in advance. When booking rides from airports, remember to include your flight number in the "additional details" box. For return trips from Chicago or Indianapolis, book 45 minutes to 1 hour after your scheduled arrival time, while international flights require 90 minutes. In South Bend, allow 30–45 minutes after scheduled landing for pickup and prepare for 2–2.5 hours of travel time to Chicago, and 2.5–3 hours to Indy. In Memphis, allow 45 minutes after scheduled landing for pickup and prepare for a 1–1.5 hour travel time to Oxford, MS. Trips within South Bend take approximately 15–20 minutes from Notre Dame campus. We suggest arriving to MEM and SBN airport 90 minutes prior to departure and Chicago airports 2 hours prior to departure.

Shared rides are a cost-effective option for up to four passengers, commonly involving multiple stops in college campuses or closely situated areas, while airport-to-campus shared rides typically have one stop. Shared rides offer affordability by dividing the cost. Private rides, designed for 1–4 people, provide exclusivity and a personalized experience, with the car reserved solely for your group, offering privacy and flexibility. Private rides may be pricier but are preferred for a tailored transportation experience.

We offer a courtesy wait of up to 30 minutes after the scheduled ride time. We use Flight Aware to monitor flight statuses and ensure timely service. If a flight is significantly delayed beyond a reasonable timeframe, we will gladly assist our customers in finding an alternate ride. Cancellation fees and/or additional ride fees may apply in this situation.

While we offer a courtesy wait of up to 30 minutes after the scheduled pickup time, there are rare situations — such as severe weather, airport shutdowns, or mass flight delays — where multiple passengers may be affected at once. In these cases, our team makes every effort to keep students and families safe and ensure everyone receives a ride, even when circumstances are outside anyone's control.

When extraordinary delays happen, departure times may shift to accommodate passengers who are unexpectedly held on the tarmac or delayed by airport congestion. If your travel plans are impacted by a large-scale disruption, we'll work closely with all riders involved to coordinate the best possible solution in real time.

With Rides2U, your ride is always guaranteed. Unlike traditional services, we don't use surge pricing or depend on last-minute driver availability. That means you get clear, upfront pricing when you book. When you choose our rideshare, you're investing in a premium experience — with better safety, reliability, and service.

Of course! We are flexible for group transportation — for groups of four or fewer, book through the app. For groups larger than four, please contact us for a custom quote, where we can make sure you have the right vehicle and driver for your needs.

We hire only the top 1% of drivers, rigorously vetted. We personally interview them, inspect their vehicles, and all drivers are required to submit a yearly mechanical inspection for added peace of mind. We provide customer service and safety training, and riders can choose "preferred drivers" when booking a ride for extra familiarity.

Shared Rides

For shared rides, cancellations made at least 7 days in advance without impacting other riders receive a refund minus service fees ($20 for long trips, 20% for local rides — min cancellation fee of $10), while cancellations within 7 days are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

If your cancellation impacts another rider, either:

(1) A partial refund (30%) and ride credit (70%) will be issued
OR
(2) 100% future ride credit can be issued (equal to same value of previously purchased ride).

In order to provide fair wages to drivers, shared rides are charged for a minimum of two seats. If you create a shared ride for a single person and no one joins, you will be informed in advance and given these options:

  • Pay for two seats
  • Cancel the ride (minus processing and handling fees)
  • Work with Rides2U on an alternative solution
  • Rides2U reserves the right to add a 5th or 6th rider to shared rides at our discretion.

Private Rides

When a private ride is canceled due to circumstances beyond your control, a cancellation fee applies. However, it is important to note that the fee could be higher and may vary if you choose to cancel for other reasons.

For our shared rides, passengers are entitled to bring one free carry-on and one checked bag at no additional cost. There are fees for any additional luggage beyond this allowance. We understand that extra belongings may be necessary for certain trips, and we are more than happy to accommodate them.
